Description:
Akarua, meaning 'two vines' in Māori, represents the two varieties originally planted in the area in 1996: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
This 100% Chardonnay has an expressive nose of stone fruit, melon, brioche, citrus blossom and flint. Aged in French Oak barrels and a large Sandstone Amphorae for 10 months. This wine is well balanced with some richness, good concentration and a long stone fruit finish.
Perfect to pair meals with seafood, pork, chicken, mushrooms, broccoli, cauliflower and beans. Especially dishes with creamy sauces.
