Description:
An exotic blend of ripe fruit and warming spice, with both varietals playing a complementary role. On the nose, plums, dark cherry and summer pudding are the first to entice, while vanilla and allspice hint at the wine's time in oak. Notes of seared beef and Kalamata olives add a lovely savoury edge.
On the palate, it is lively and fresh from the first sip, with a fine, textured feel and a touch of milk chocolate richness from the oak. Juicy dark cherry, sour cherry and blackberry bring real succulence, while hints of ironstone and cherry pip linger on a gently bitter, Campari-like finish. Fine, supportive tannins and well-integrated oak hold it all together beautifully.
